SmithtownRadio.com is a revolutionary online radio station broadcasting commercial free music, news and weather for the Smithtown, New York community. Content is broadcast through the station’s Web site, mobile apps and across social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter.
The station’s all-volunteer staff host a variety of programs covering a vast spectrum of interests – from music, to news, to sports, to technology and more. SmithtownRadio.com is dedicated to community coverage and is the exclusive broadcast home of the Nesconset Chamber of Commerce’s Summer Concert Series. The station also broadcasts other community events including St. James Day and the Nesconset Fire Department Santa Parade.

History:
The station was originally created by James Brierton and Steven Greco in 2003. After a short stint as an experimental station for Great Hollow Middle School in 2004, the station finalized a partnership with the Smithtown Central School District to create the official radio station for Smithtown High School East in 2005. The station was rebranded “SmithtownRadio.com” and acquired new staff. In 2010, the partnership with the school districted ended.
