Mohr, Martins named to board of trustees

Smithtown, NY (SmithtownRadio.com) – The Smithtown Special Library District’s proposed $13.3 million budget was approved by voters Tuesday.

The budget, which will increase taxes on the average household by 2.86 percent, passed with a vote of 1006 to 768.

Suzanne Mohr and incumbent John Martins were named to the board, with Mohr taking 1157 votes and Martins 984. Wayne Schaefer received 624 votes with Rose Palazzolo taking 527 of the votes.
