Smithtown, NY (SmithtownRadio.com) – With just over 50 days until the general election in November, the conservative and independence candidates running for the county’s Fourth District Court in Smithtown have been selected.

Janine Barbera-Dalli and Richard Dunne will appear on the conservative ticket. Barbera-Dalli had nearly 44% of the vote with Dunne taking about 41%.

Barbera-Dalli will also appear as a candidate for the independence party, where she received 31% of the vote. Richard Horowitz received about 39% of the vote, securing his place on that ballot.

Barbera-Dalli, Dunne and Horowitz each ran for the conservative and independence ticket. In what was New York’s third primary Thursday, voters had to vote for two candidates per ticket. 760 votes were cast in the conservative party race with 277 being cast in the independence party race.
