Brentwood, NY (SmithtownRadio.com) – A week since a blast leveled a Brentwood home, a woman has succumbed to her severe burn injuries.

State Farm Insurance representative Patricia Salegna-Maqueda, 46, was inside the Prospect Drive home when a propane-related blast destroyed the home and killed an 18-month-old toddler. Salegna-Maqueda, who was at the home regarding a claim submitted for flooding, was taken to Stony Brook University Medical Center with serious injuries.

The blast, which injured 16 others, is still under investigation.
