A plan to expand the Kings Park Hike and Bike trail is being delayed. Kings Park Notebook reports the Town of Smithtown is awaiting final paperwork from New York State before accepting bids from companies to build the nearly one thousand foot expansion. Currently, the path follows Old Dock Road along the hospital grounds. The plan is to connect the path to Main Street. The town hopes to finish the project this fall.
