Accident involving motorcycle

Lake Ronkonkoma, NY (SmithtownRadio.com) – A 52-year-old man is in critical condition after a motorcycle crash on the Long Island Expressway Tuesday evening.

The man was riding eastbound on the Long Island Expressway near Hawkins Avenue (Exit 60) when he was struck by a minivan, police say. He was airlifted to Stony Brook University Medical Center.

All lanes of the Long Island Expressway eastbound while authorities conducted an accident investigation.

Police have not announced any charges in the crash. The investigation continues.

    I saw this motorcycle driving on the expressway. He was speeding and weaving in and out of traffic.
