Movie chain makes changes following shooting
Stony Brook, NY (SmithtownRadio.com) – AMC Theaters is making some changes at its theaters nationwide following a deadly shooting at a theater in Colorado early Friday morning.
“We will not allow any guests into our theatres in costumes that make other guests feel uncomfortable and we will not permit face-covering masks or fake weapons inside our buildings,” the statement from the Kansas City-based chain reads in part. We’re reinforcing our security procedures with our theatre teams”
Suffolk County police will also be patrolling area theaters as a precaution. AMC owns a the AMC Loews Theater on Route 347 in Stony Brook.
