Good morning. I’m James Brierton. It’s Friday, July 20. Here’s the latest from the SmithtownRadio.com newsroom
A spectacular crash in Brentwood last night sent a man, a pregnant woman and a toddler to the hospital. Authorities say they were traveling in a sudan at a high rate of speed along the Long Island Expressway service road when the driver lost control of the vehicle near Motor Parkway. The vehicle struck the an upper wall of a shop before landing upside down next to the building. The three occupants were taken to the hospital. Their identities and their conditions not yet known.
A week from today, Nesconset’s own Maria Michta will marching through Olympic Stadium in London. The 26-year-old racewalker is hoping her parents Rich and Sue can be there too but only if they can gather enough money for a plane ticket. The Sachem High School grad has posted a donation link on her Web site, which we have up on our site.
In your forecast: Rain and a high of 77. More rain tonight with clouds down to 63. Rain moves out by tomorrow night.
