Commack, NY (SmithtownRadio.com) - No one was injured Sunday evening after a Commack home caught fire during a strong thunderstorm.

Suffolk police say the Commack Fire Department was called to the Johnson Street home around 7:20 p.m.

Firefighters got the blaze under control in about half an hour.

The fire broke out during a time when strong-to-severe thunderstorms, many of which were producing lightning, were moving across Suffolk County. It was not immediately known if lightning started the fire.
