newsroom.
- A motorcyclist who was ejected from his bike in a crash Monday
with another motor vehicle has died. 40 year
old Smithtown resident Francis Stanuch was riding his 2012 Honda
motorcycle on Landing Avenue when he collided with a 1990 Ford,
making a left turn across traffic on Oakside drive.
-Stanuch was later pronounced dead on-arrival at St. Catherine of
Siena Medical Center. Suffolk police have not announced any
charges in the matter. If you saw the crash, investigators want
to hear from you. We have their number up on our website at
SmithtownRadio.com.
-Two kayakers were plucked from the Nissequogue River last night
after being stranded by the low tide. The men had set off from
The Bull in Smithtown and were heading to The Bluff in Kings Park
when the lowering water level left them stuck on a sandbar
halfway to their destination. Rescue crews found the men and
brought them back to shore.
-In your forecast: Much cooler this week with highs in the lower
80s. Then down to the mid-60s at night. Phew. Finally something
a tad cooler!
