Looking back on past blog posts for the morning show, I have come to realize…I love holidays a lot – and the Fourth of July is no exception!
There are so many special things about July 4th! It is essentially the birthday of this great nation! What a wonderful day to recognize our many freedoms, reflect on how great life is in the good ole’ USA, and thank our servicemen, and women, for their sacrifice so that we can maintain the liberties we have. I could break out into God Bless America right now as I write this!

A great book to relish in for all things summertime is Ricky Lauren’s The Hamptons: Food, Family, and History. There are fantastic pictures, recipes, and stories from summer days spent in the luxurious Hamptons! How glorious to think that Long Island offers so many picturesque places to make 4th of July memories!
