Lindenhurst, NY (SmithtownRadio.com) – A Babylon man has been arrested for drunk driving following a crash that killed a Lindenhurst teen Sunday night.

Michael Grasing was driving a 2004 Nissan westbound on Montauk Highway near Buena Vista Boulevard when he struck the rear of another vehicle that was also traveling westbound, police say. The impact caused the second vehicle to overturn and strike a utility pole.

Brittney Walsh, 18, the driver of the second vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Grasing, 31, was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated. He was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip for treatment of minor injuries. He will be arraigned on a future date at First District Court in Central Islip.

Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks and the investigation is continuing.
