I’m back in Smithtown after a week at the CNN Center in Atlanta. SmithtownRadio.com’s Ben Bolton and I (highlight right) were guests at the second annual CNN iReport Awards, showcasing the best in citizen journalism.

We had a chance to meet the folks behind some of 2011′s most gripping videos, like the footage of the Indiana State Fair stage collapse (which took home the award for best breaking news story).

CNN also treated us to workshops, including how to report using only your cell phone – which is often the case for us here at SmithtownRadio.com while we’re in the field.
