West Babylon, NY (SmithtownRadio.com) – A remarkably clear surveillance image released by police shows a man wanted for robbing a West Babylon bank Friday.
The man entered the Suffolk Federal Credit Union Bank, located at 50-108 Route 109, at 2:30 p.m. and handed a teller a note announcing a robbery and demanding cash, police say. The teller complied and gave the man cash from the drawer. The man fled on foot and headed south through the parking lot.
The robber was described as a white, in his late 20s, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a medium build, brown hair, blue eyes and was unshaven. He was wearing a white tank top, dark-colored shorts, dark-colored sneakers, white socks and a black baseball cap with a New York Yankees logo on the front.
