West Babylon, NY (SmithtownRadio.com) – Suffolk County Police First Squad detectives are investigating a shooting that injured a man in West Babylon Monday evening.

An 18-year-old man from West Babylon was standing in front of 25 Lodge Place when he was shot at approximately 6:35 p.m., police say  The victim was shot twice in the back, once in his left leg, and a bullet grazed his ear.

He was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police did not release the victim’s name.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on this shooting to call the First Squad at 631-854-8152 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
