A four year old boy has died after falling into a pool in Hauppauge. Newday reports Shane Brennan fell into the pool on Mount Pleasant Road yesterday. He was tacked to Stony Brook hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The Kings Park Board of Education is expected to file a petition with the New York State Commissioner of Education to remove board member Liz Barrett. Patch reports Barrett is accused of leaking confidential information to third party sources.

County health officials are recommending swimmers stay out of the water at five area beaches. Tuesday night’s heavy rain cause created the possibility of dangerous bacteria at the beaches along the north shore. Officials will continue to sample the water to let swimmers know when the threat subsides.
