The gender of Laguna Beach star Kristin Cavallari’s baby was accidentally revealed yesterday by her fiancé’s NFL teammate. The news was broken by Jay Cutler’s Chicago Bears teammate Earl Bennett while talking to The Boers and Bernstein Show yesterday morning. Bennett said, “New toys, a baby on the way – he’s having a boy – and, you know, I’m excited for Jay. It’s a great time.” The hosts did not realize until after the interview that they had accidentally broken the baby news. The duo said, “Jay’s having a boy. I don’t think anybody knew that before then.” The couple plans to get married after the birth of their baby this summer.
Evening Edition:
Fox has taken a page from The Voice with spinning chairs and blind auditions, but this time it’s for a dating show. The Choice will be hosted by Cat Deeley of So You Think You Can Dance and will feature four single celebrities looking for a date in front of a live audience. The celebrity will only hear the voice of his or her suitor and will have to make a decision from that, just like on The Voice. The celebrities have not yet been named.
Heroes star Adrian Pasdar has signed on to star in USA Network’s new drama Political Animals. Pasdar will play the President of the United States. The six-part series stars Sigourney Weaver as Elaine Barrish, the former first lady who is fighting political adversaries as well as her own demons. Pasdar’s character, Paul Garcetti, defeated Weaver’s character in the presidential primary and then appointed her as his Secretary of State, much like Obama and Hillary. The cast also includes James Wolk of Lone Star, Ellen Burstyn and Carla Gugino.
