Not the best night on the road for the NHL teams in the area with two losses and only one win to show for.

Rangers are shutout by the Penguins in Pittsburgh 2-0. Evgeni Malkin scored the game winner in the second period and another Pittsburgh goal shortly after put this low scoring game out of reach.

Islanders lose a close one in Buffalo 2-1. Frans Nielsen cut the deficit to 2-1 with about five minutes to play, but the Islanders could send this one to extra time.

Devils beat the Toronto Maple Leafs in overtime, but not after almost blowing the lead on several occasions. Devils led 2-0 late in the first and found themselves tied at two a piece towards the end of the second. This game looked all but decided until Toronto tied it up at three a piece with only 44 seconds left in regulation. Mark Fayne scored the game winner in overtime.

With their roster fully intact the Knicks will look to shake off their Monday night loss against the Nets. They will continue their homestand this evening when they play host the Atlanta Hawks at 7:30 on MSG. Meanwhile the Nets are back in action in Newark taking on the Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic. It will be interesting to see how the crowd reacts to Howard who has been linked in trade rumors to the Nets for the last couple of months. That game can be seen at 7:30 on YES.
