Morning Edition:
Lionsgate announced yesterday that members of the cast and crew of The Hunger Games are embarking on a national mall tour. Starting on March 3rd, several of the actors, including stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth will make appearances during an eight-city tour. The announcement of the mall tour precedes the first day fans can buy pre-sale tickets for the Hunger Games, which opens on March 23rd.
The X Factor’s Josh Krajcik is working on his next album with Adele’s producer. Eg White, a two-time Ivor Novello Award recipient best known for producing Adele’s Chasing Pavements, has also worked with Pop Idol winner Will Young. X Factor’s second season is about to get its official kick-off when online auditions on March 1.
Evening Edition:
NBC has finally given a return date for its popular show Community. The show will return to Thursday nights on March 15th. Because of this return date, NBC is pushing back 30 Rock to 8:30, where it will be followed by The Office and Up All Night. The comedy’s return marks the first of the season’s 12 unaired episodes.
Former Gilmore Girls and Heroes actor Milo Ventimiglia is returning to the small screen with a starring role in a new TNT drama pilot written by Walking Dead creator Frank Darabont. The show called L.A. Noir centers on the 1940s/1950s-era battle between LAPD Police Chief William Parker and boxer-turned-mobster Mickey Cohen. Ventimiglia will play Ned Stax, a former marine who served during WW2 and is now an up-and-coming lawyer who has been groomed to be a “fixer” for the mob. Darabont will also serve as an executive producer on the show as well as directing the pilot.
