Babylon, NY (SmithtownRadio.com) – Suffolk County Police arrested a man for threatening a television crew inside a Babylon business Saturday.
At approximately 2 p.m., Carlos Borbon, 29, was walking on Main Street in Babylon when he noticed a television crew from the Animal Planet show “Tanked” shooting at Plessers Appliances. Borbon got into an altercation with some of the workers before pulling out a kitchen knife and threatening to kill them.
As a 911 call was made, Borbon fled but was chased down by workers from the appliance store and the television crew.
Borbon ran into a neighboring store where responding First Precinct Patrol Officers Jennifer Price, Sebastian Lankiewicz, and Victoria Singh arrested Borbon minutes later.
The knife was recovered.
Borbon was arrested and charged with Menacing 2nd Degree, Resisting Arrest, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree. He is being held overnight at the First Precinct, and scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip Sunday..
