St. James store owner pulls tire iron on robber
Good morning. I’m James Brierton.
33-year-old Joseph Hogan got into more than he could bargain for yesterday at stationary store on Lake Avenue. The Holbrook man got into a struggle with the store’s owner as he attempted to steal cash from the register. The owner pulled a tire iron on the suspect. Hogan fled but was quickly arrested on-scene.

Police are looking for a pair who stole sandwiches and refreshments from a Commack 7-Eleven last month. Newly released surveillance images show the man and woman entering the store before fleeing in a blue vehicle.

On your community calendar: the Commack Fire Department will host the second annual Officer Glenn Ciano blood drive tomorrow from 9 until 3. Ciano was killed in the line of duty in Commack in 2009.

A costal storm is expected to roll in tonight and stay us through Saturday. Could bring us one to possibly four inches of snow.
