Stony Brook shopping center, former Commack movie theater under re-development

Stony Brook, NY (SmithtownRadio.com) – A shopping center in Stony Brook is getting it’s second… or third… shot at life – depending on how you count.

The center once played home to K-Mart, Borders and OfficeMax. Now, Staples is expected to occupy the office store with Michael’s craft store moving into the former book store.

Lowe’s home improvement, which occupies adjacent space once a K-Mart, is moving ahead with its plans to turn the former Commack Cinemas into a new location.
