Huntington Station, NY (SmithtownRadio.com) –  Suffolk County Police Second Precinct officers and civilians revived a man who was suffering from cardiac arrest in Huntington Station Tuesday morning.

Daniel Vanasse, 58, and his son Nicholas Vanasse, 22, were making a delivery on West Pulaski Road when they noticed a man laying on the ground across the street. The victim, a Suffolk County Parks Department employee, was in cardiac arrest. Nicholas Vanasse initiated CPR and Daniel Vanasse reached out to someone who called 911.

Upon arrival, Second Precinct Officer Joshua Parsons arrived and began chest compressions on the victim. Officer James Garside and Officer Angela Ferrara initiated Advanced Life Support while Officer David Weymouth utilized an Automatic External Defibrillator. Officer Peter Kieseheuer also assisted during the rescue.

The victim’s pulse and breathing was restored and was transported to Huntington Hospital by the Cold Spring Harbor Fire Department.
