Shirley, NY (SmithtownRadio.com) – He was supposed to be protecting the people of Mastic but instead an ambulance crew member has been charged with sexually abusing a patient while they were riding in an ambulance to a local hospital.

On Wednesday, Suffolk police arrested 22-year-old Kristopher Kalh for inappropriately touching a female patient while she was being transported to the hospital on November 4. Kahl was working for the Mastic Ambulance Company at the time of the incident.

Following an investigation by Seventh Squad detectives, Kahl, of Middle Island, was arrested today and charged with Sexual Abuse 3rd Degree.

Kahl was processed at the Seventh Precinct and was released on stationhouse bail. He will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on a future date.
