Shirley, NY (SmithtownRadio.com) – Suffolk County Police have arrested an undomiciled man for attempting to rob a pharmacy in Shirley yesterday.
Nicholas Lobianco, 25, entered the Rite Aid, located at 803 Montauk Highway, at approximately 3:40 p.m. Lobianco approached the pharmacy service counter and handed an employee a note containing a threat and demanding prescription drugs. Lobianco fled the store on foot before the employee could comply.
Seventh Precinct patrol officers located Lobianco at a nearby motel a short time later. Seventh Squad detectives charged Lobianco with Attempted Robbery 3rd Degree.
He was held overnight for arraignment today at First District Court in Central Islip. Detectives are asking anyone with information about this incident to contact the Seventh Squad at 631-852-8752 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
