Smithtown, NY (SmithtownRadio.com) – It was a phrase coined by former Smithtown High School West principal John Dolan: One school, two campuses.

Back in my high school newspaper days, we wrote many a piece on the school district’s PR attempts to keep peace between the recently reopened East and West “campuses.”

This weekend, a new tradition starts. For the first time since the two schools reopened, they will hold separate homecoming parades. Matter of fact, West is preparing for a [rainy] homecoming Saturday while East will not see its day until late October.

Your Thought: Should there be one parade or two? Will this help or hurt divides and school identities?

Two parades are one thing, two principals and their various staffs are another! Twin administrators at high salaries along with duplicity in staff, buildings, equipment etc.,etc. . That is the problem! Have the twin parades on the same day, co join the School ‘s !
