West Babylon, NY (SmithtownRadio.com) – Suffolk County Police today arrested a West Babylon man who robbed three different Game Stop stores on six different occasions since October 30, 2010.
First Precinct police officers responded to a 911 call at approximately 12:50 p.m. reporting a robbery at the Game Stop store located at 82 Route 109 in West Babylon. Christopher Cullen entered the store and displayed the handle of a knife that was tucked into the waistband of his pants and demanded cash. An employee complied with his demands and Cullen fled the store in a taxi that had driven him there. Responding officers pulled over the taxi that Cullen was in and arrested him.
First Squad detectives determined that the taxi driver was not aware of the robbery. Further investigations revealed that Cullen was responsible for five additional robberies that took place since October 30, 2010.
Cullen, 31, of 556 17th St., West Babylon was charged with six counts of Robbery for robbing the following Game Stop locations:
· 82 Route 109, West Babylon robbed on October 30, 2010
· 82 Route 109, West Babylon robbed on December 1, 2010
· 1675 Route 27, Bay Shore robbed on December 5, 2010
· 82 Route 109, West Babylon robbed on December 8, 2010
· 1204 Deer Park Ave., North Babylon robbed on December 9, 2010
· 82 Route 109, West Babylon robbed on December 13, 2010
Cullen is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on December 14.
